IAPA Scholarship Opportunities
Each year IAPA proudly offers an opportunity for PA students to receive the IAPA Outstanding PA Student Scholarship. This year the selected winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship.
Application Requirements:
- Current student member of IAPA.
- Minimum GPA of 3.3 in a professional ARC-PA-accredited program (programs with "Accreditation-Provisional" status qualify).
- Completion of at least one term of PA studies (semester or quarter) and be in good academic standing.
- Be enrolled in PA school during the application cycle (July - September)
- Demonstrated leadership and service to the PA profession within Indiana as a PA student.
- Validation from program director that student is in good standing at the university and meets minimum GPA requirement. Validation is conducted by the IAPA Scholarship & Awards Committee.
- Uploaded anonymized document containing response to essay questions 1 and 2 as outlined below.
IAPA Scholarship Application Essays:
Please note: Essays will be evaluated for technical quality (including spelling, grammar, and other technical components) in addition to content quality. Do not include personally identifiable information in your response (i.e. your name, address, academic institution, etc.).
1. Please write an essay concerning your decision to become a PA and what you expect to accomplish as a PA, including any specific clinical interest areas you may have. What do you hope to do as a PA? (maximum 500 words)
2. Please describe your involvement in relevant leadership, volunteer and/or community service activities. Why did you choose these particular activities, and what do they mean to you? (maximum 500 words)
